I'm still waiting to hear back about a false penalty and big underpayment of £13,000.

I had an email on 30th June saying they'd look into it, and have heard nothing back at all.

It's ridiculous.

I have not heard anything about my fine just the letter back in june saying they are looking into it ,I asked why I get other emails from them but never one about my bps payment ,the person I spoke to said that they did not now

Perhaps the RPA would like to comment on their progress so far in resolving the 10,000 outstanding cases - it's all gone very quite from them and for that matter the NFU on this issue .

I'll do it for them:

"We havent a clue. Sorry."

That's all they have to say. We sign something to say we have honestly filled in our forms to the best of our ability. They should just apologise. Simple as that.

The handful of payments that the RPA have looked at /rectified have been processed without additional information having been provided by the farmer proving that they had enough information to do the job correctly in the first place-

I would be interested to know if Natural England (c£900k SFP), the RSBP , or the National Trust (c£2.5m) had any issues receiving their 2015 direct payments?

As a member of the NT, does that make me an active farmer by default :)

I keep checking but still nothing, I did notice however that the RPA have changed their timescale from "over the summer " to "In the next few months" - effectively there is now NO deadline as to when they need to have it sorted by.

In fairness, I emailed the RPA about my missing money after reading this, and the next day it was paid.

I don't believe that was a coincidence.

Whether I need to thank @Clive or @RPA I don't know. But thanks anyway.

Things were getting a bit tight...!!

Our missing money appeared in the bank today too. No statement or calculation, but the amount is roughly what we felt was missing .
I guess they've been revisiting all of those who were fined for over declaring.

Well I've telephoned and emailed many times . The calls are not returned and the emails are not answered. If this were any other type of business it would have failed by now and its staff including the captain of the sorry mess , Mr Grimshaw would be out of work.

@Funny Farmer

Have you emailed them at

[email protected]

Just put your SBI in the subject box, and explain you're needing the money and you'd like to know what their timeframe is for paying you.

I know someone who sent a load of their bills to the RPA for paying. They had their BPS three days later. I would not recommend this as a suitable way of dealing with it though!!
