Period implements for a Ford 4000

because it broadens my horizons....

and your pointless comments about 1594s always put a smile on my face

ive taken it as a long running game now, whats the most irrelevant thread you can find to mention a 1594 in....i have to say, your very good at it, very very good in fact
 The reason IH balers sold so well down here probably was down to the fact most of them came from North America, aslo had good dealer backup if you needed it and mechanics who know what they are doing.(y)

You need a Ransomes C79 eleven tine cultivator. I have a nine tine model for the 3000 tractor which thankfully has long gone,; but the drag remains albeit equipped with Kongskilde wearing points, as the originals are obsolete. Still a good drag which was often pictured in those brochures behind the 'new' Ford tractors in the 1960's.

Yeah, that's why I laugh at those on here grumbling that it's miserable driving old tractors with no air con/ air seat / powershift etc.
I was fooking glad to be on that Ford 4000, rather than bent double all day picking the spuds,/ weighing bags.;)

So what would you rather have done if say the propostion was sitting atop a DB 995 or 6 hours with a soggy bottom in a drill?

Mmm, not so clear cut now is it :whistle:

For starters.......Ransomes TS90 3 or 4f plough, Twose 8ft triple k, New Holland 276 baler, Howard 100 rotaspreader, Fahr KM22 drum mower, set of Steers 3-lap hydraulic harrows, Weeks or Wheatley 3 ton trailer

Ransome 4 furrow conventional plough, 100 k weight bolted on the front and you have the best balanced outfit around
