bad guts / bowels

IBS causes endless symptoms with nausea/wind/cons/dia/pain/backache/headache/fatigue/morning hangover feeling/dry mouth/lightheaded. Its very nasty. It can be brought on by stress, over consuming grain, too much alcohol, too much sugar and poor diet with lifestyle out of syc.

Sometimes people as they get older have an inability to break down lactose - this is very common. Over consumption of wheat and grains is very common and people who cut down on high carb diets see vast improvement - ie cereal for breakfast, sandwiches, cake, biscuits and pasta for tea is all over carbing and far too much grain in diet. Everyone says they have a balanced diet however, this is not balanced at all.

There is endless info on the net about fodmap diets and overcoming IBS which is becoming epidemic in developed worlds.

there is also alot to be said about our diets that are now lacking in good bacteria - raw milk for instance is going to be better than strained white water, kefir, homemade yogurts, sourkrauts. Slowly made sourdough breads made with natural ferments and spelts etc Also our poor foods which contain less nutritional benefits due to poor soils, shelf life and chemicals. For someone looking at improving their gut take a leaf out of these cultures in eastern europe etc who have good lifespans and eat a lot of home grown and fermented foods. The sad fact is if you damage the bowl with painkillers or alcohol it never recovers and people seem to ignore these facts. The healthy bowl is under estimated in todays world and stuffing full of pills isnt going to work for long before resistance steps in.

I got some potted stilton for Xmas. Was blue on top but not so much below. As I keep on at it, it's going more blue. So it's still rotting. Tastes fantastic and the dreams it gives you are a bit mad but usually positive in an insane way. Eat stilton.
