Well first get it tidy and paintedThey maybe couldnt get it started so used sumert else
Is tidy tho whats your plans with it
Not exactly, but as we know the colour changed during November 1957, the likelihood is a tractor with a NOV casting would be Red/Grey?Have a Grey/Gold with Nov '57 casting date upside down on the gearbox, are you saying that it should be red? Old man's had it since '64 so I doubt it
Just look at the clutch pedal. If it's a smaller pedal, like on the t-20, it's grey and gold. If the clutch is the same look as the brake pedals, with grips on, then it's red and grey.
Not quite- the flat clutch pedal cut in towards the end of Grey and Gold production, as did the lift pump with pipes side by side.Just look at the clutch pedal. Serial no is 73283 with gearbox date of 7.11.57. Where do I find the engine date? Not exactly, but as we know the colour changed during November 1957, the likelihood is a tractor with a NOV casting would be Red/Grey?
I looked at the gearbox vs engine casting dates on our two tonight and on both tractors the gearbox was cast later than engine so is nearer to the build date.
On our diesel one the gearbox was cast only a fortnight before assembly, but the engine block a full six weeks!

Thanks, will take a look tomorrowLate example - last FE-35 Grey/Gold 74655.
Stamped in block above the starter motor.
