eric toensmeier is giving a talk on the 25th in London titled carbon farming, climate change mitigation. Can't go myself but sounds interesting and I think it is being broadcast on the permaculture association Facebook page.
I've read his carbon farming book. It's interesting but not that useful to a commercial annual crop farmer unless you're prepared to get very radical with your farm and do agroforestry etc. Big emphasis on perennials and permaculture. I love this stuff but not sure how to commercially implement these ideas.
