Boiler Parts

We're having some trouble with the stoker motor on our boiler which is blocking with good quality wood chip. It appears to be the knives in the rotating valve which might be a little blunt...
The boiler is only 2 years old so I would have expected the knives to still be sharp enough to chop up the wood chip.

Either way we think they might need changing. Where can we purchase parts like this? Do we have to deal direct with the manufacturer or are there any uk distributers?

We have a Froling TX boiler.....

Weve had same issues lately with an 18 month old tx200. Strips of wood have been getting behind the rotator valve on above the stoker screw.

Have just asked a service company if the knives or shims are replaceable as it blocked twice in 10 days.

We've had that happen once, multi chamber rotary valves are a nightmare but are much better than the burn back flaps on some boilers. Changing the knives won't stop the strips going round the outside of the rotary valve

Our blockages are in the rotary valve or around it like you've said. Our boiler is also 18 months old so maybe we've both found the life of the knives!? But they still feel reasonably sharp.
We mostly burn G50.

have you had any issues with the disc that lifts the turbulators or more so the guide wheel. we have had it come out which stops the turbulators from lifting but doesnt cause a fault alarm as the motor is still turning .

If it happens, and the turbulators get stuck down in the tube, the two end sets need to be cut out and welded back together. It's a major job for such a stupid design flaw.
