We find a heavy leveling harrow works well on the mustard, tends to cut it, especially in the hard frost.
But it needs to be heavy ...........

I remember when I could cycle down to the newsagents with 20p in my pocket, and come home with a quarter of lemon sherbet, a copy of the Beano, a pint of milk, a loaf of bread, and a newspaper for my parents.





Blasted CCTV cameras in there won't let you get away with that now!

Sheep had enough of fogage. first hay of the winter for them, unlike the cattle who have been on full winter rations since the end of July - we couldn't graze this field then as it was:

unfenced and

not ours.

Bit of brushing this afternoon... wifey was bored so dug out some old photos ...

found this one of my first brushing rig [emoji33][emoji33] circa 1994/5 and the spraying / pelleting rig as well !!
Just shows how spoilt I am now [emoji106][emoji106]

Yep GH Davies' at Lea Cross (Sibberscote) his main business was importing fertiliser ( used to own a plant making it "Green Line" fertiliser if I remember ) ... you'd think he'd of bought me something better [emoji23]
