Grazing deterrents.

I have a block of oats that the deer seem to have latched onto and are giving a pasting. Last year I used a product called Aminosol which had some effect and was considerably cheaper than Grazers. Is there anything else (apart from lead which we are using as well) that others find useful and/or is Grazers up to its claims?

I have used grazers and remain sceptical of its benefits as l have been unable to see a big difference in untreated areas. Works differently from amino sol which I just looked up and apparently acts as a deterrent due to being made from animal by products. Roughly how much is it please? However I suspect any physical deterrent will be better than spray especially lead or electric fencing. Also I think oats have good powers of recovery?

The cost was £6.50/litre and went on at a litre per Ha so not an expensive punt. Oats do recover well, an organic customer usually puts sheep on his if it looks a bit forward, it just needs a bit of breathing space to let it get away really.

This works ^^

Definitely keeps cats out of the garden if you have some lion/tiger bedding.

I've seen fox shaped steel cut-outs used to keep swans off OSR, maybe you could get a lion/tiger/bear/wolf one?
