BPS helpline driving me slowly crazy...

Just spent 15 minutes in the queue waiting to speak to someone about our missing BPS payment. Moved from number 6 to number 1 in the queue, 10 seconds off being answered...and they cut me off!!! Dialled again. Now I'm 16 minutes in the queue again... Not like I've got sheep about to lamb or anything!

Rant over. Thanks.

Try going through your MP.
They have a dedicated line with a person assigned to each problem client / constituent who may vote for them. O r so I was told yesterday.

I got through to RPA eventually, to clarify if I needed to write in again, and was told I needed to fill in a BPS Query form. "That's what we've been told to say" she cheerfully said as she confirmed the land parcel in dispute by name, rank and number.

MP has done much better.

RPA rang back today to say that it is unlikely we will get paid before the end of March even though there apparently is no problem with our application, or in other words, we haven't been subject to an inspection and they haven't 'lost' our application which has happened to some people. Great. So we're a straight forward application that has been held up for no apparent reason. Perfect.

Other helplines just as bad. Was 16th in queue. Waited 20 minutes, slowly going up the queue, after which a recording came on and told me .. you have been waiting over 20 minutes. We don't accept calls after 20 minutes. Goodbye'. My language totally unrepeatable!!
