Get one of theseI have a Metabo 115mm angle grinder, can't fault it after 8 years of use. It cut all the metal for my 5 ton trailer rebuild. I have a Makita where I work and the on/off trigger is horrible & stiff. Both are mains, both have the button that holds the gearbox whilst you undo the wheel. The Metabo has a pocket in the steadying handle in which to keep the key, V useful when you remember it is there else you will be hunting for the bl**dy key a very long time......I speak from experience. No plastic carrying box but who keeps one in a box? I have a purpose built bracket over my work-bench on which it hangs with all the disks I'd ever need.

Won't need the spanner again, have them on all grinders here just need plires sometimes.
they might catch up i suppose, but a lot of the time they are never up at the forefront of tools are they.I'm a metabo fan myself, but they seemed to stop developing their tool range, especially cordless since the hitachi takeover. Was waiting on them bringing out a new impact wrench to match the Milwaukee and dewalt.
I run the wire brush on a Milwaukee grinder. Their warranty is three years... Comes in handy!!which 4.5" is best for a lot of wire cup brushing? I find this destroys grinders
I did a 5" lidl parkside which we didn't rate
4.5 hitachi is vibrating in the head now
really old bosh did the brass bush in the head
I don't know why but the cup brushes seem too much for them really.
Have one of their cheap cordless drills & apart from only having one battery it works well.I've been through a lot of grinders , but I bought a £19.99 Parkside 5 inch one at Lidl as a cheap back up for a laugh .
It's been absolutely brilliant , it really has .
It's a bit noisy now but still going strong .Over 1000 W , plenty long cable , and a proper long handle . You get a spare set of brushes and it has some daft variable speed thing which is maybe best ignored .
If you see them on sale at Aldi ( every few months ) then I would recommend buying one .
Usually they have the big wire brush cups and other discs on sale at the same time .
Do a search and you will see they are quite well regarded .

its at that point that you need the Watts in a grinder, the latest 5" i got is 1700W and the next one down is 1450W, id have no fear of using the cup wheel on either of them, they are well fit for it i find.which 4.5" is best for a lot of wire cup brushing? I find this destroys grinders
