Judging by crime watch websites, at least £50k per week of equipment goes missing from this county every week, never to be seen again.

Don't make it easy for them.

Nuff said.

Actually the photos thing might not be that daft. When you take a pic, the image has exif data embedded in it, make sense that shots taken with modern mobile phones would include gps information? I don't use a mobile for photos, but exif data will tell you aperture, shutter speed etc so makes sense that phones may well give away location in the data.

Massive amount of lurkers who don't contribute too
Nick...

Not everyone who lurks has nefarious intentions. I originally signed up as the house I was in the process of buying happened to have a few hundred acres of arable land and farm buildings included, which would have given me the opportunity to scratch a lifelong itch of wanting to play with with some tractors and a combine harvester. However, it quite quickly became obvious that ...

a) every question had already been answered dozens of times in more than enough detail, leaving me with plenty of reading but no real need to post anything

and...

b) it was quite clear from a lot of the threads I have been reading that 'my sort' (evil capitalist oppressors of the proletariat who want to hobby farm) aren't really welcomed here.

Very true. It's got to the point where just about every issue has been discussed ad infinitum and opinions are embedded so there is no point in arguing with people who have closed minds, just to be shot down or ridiculed.

TBH I am about done with forums and social media in general. It's all got a bit tiresome and pointless as well as being a security risk and I think I need a different real life hobby.:)

I believe the forum strips exif data from photos so is unavailable.
