I have tended to recycle names as they pass through. I have retired the name Pero, as the last Pero was so fantastic I couldn't bear to use it again!
Currently, Meg, Jack, Ben and Roy.
Have had Nan, Jess, Tess, Gary, Lad, Patch, Ffan (my very first), Sian, 'Becca.
Most unusual name was Jibbo, named after his father.

My two and a half year old sheepdog bitch is called Bobby, because she is a bobtail. A typical bad tempered female that hates strangers, if a car come on the yard she tries to get at the passenger through the window, like all my sheepdogs, well known for not taking prisoners.

I had names that were all booze related. Bailey, Jack (Daniels), Dan, Bass, Stella. Does this reflect on me?
I moved on to titles and ranks, had a Duke, now have Sarge, struggling with 2 bitch Border Terrier names now.

Currently here (sheepdogs), Cap, Sweep, Willy, Meg, Spot, Lad, Jim and one other that I just can't think of his name at the moment (son's dog). Also got two lurchers called Bella and Sam and a terrier called Oscar.

Edit: His name is Mack. :banghead:

Jack 14 month border collie, needs to sort his act out as we're selling off the cows and getting more sheep
Meg (jacks sister) chap phoned me asking if I wanted the twin to "that dog you have"
So for £50 we gave her a home
Jacks big and strong
Meg is much calmer, hope one of them will be good enough !

My wife took her time to research different breeds, read 7 books on the subject and decided she wanted a miniature Schnauzer.
Well, designed dog or rather a bitch had to be Gucci! She lived up to her name... she was awesome!
Unfortunately she loved to chew on the ostrich bits and swallowed big chunk. Mis-diagnosed by the vet... they didn't see the organic matter on the x-ray(?) and after a week in ICU she passed away.

Our spaniels are named after our respective grandfathers, Henry & Charlie. Wife is getting goats soon and has decided they will be named after our respective grandmothers, Hilda and Winny

My wife's a vet nurse and for a good few years they had clients on their books who had a cat called Wan*er. Maybe they were German...although with a second name like Wilson, I doubt it!

Border Collie here named Joe not for any particular reason, neighbour who I got him off as a pup suggested Askim as a name, I replied what kind of name is that for a dog to which he replied

"Its for when someone asks what do you call your dog you can say "ask him!""
