4 slug traps out and only 1 slug in total. There was about 15 seagulls sitting in one corner of the field where the grass is struggling so I'm back thinking about leatherjacket, will have a look after the school run.

Is plantain ok for silage? bale silage?..i'd like to add diversity to the standard grass clover mix...

Cut the ley mix with westerwold and crimson in it today, the westerwold was ready but the rest could maybe have stood a week yet. Good to see it filling the rows a bit already. Did 1.6 loads of our forage wagon per acre which I guess to be 8-9 ton. Was sown early May. Dull photos are my photography and the sun, looks nicely green still.

Think we're forecast for 15/20mm tomorrow. Very windy here this last week which is drying out things a lot.
