Going to make up a bale handler and put the ducks foot (paddles) over the spikes. Intend to use 80x80 box for the frame. Two questions: 1. What wall thickness should the box be? 2. What distance should the spikes be kept apart, bearing in mind that the paddles will have to be put over them when using the handler on wrapped bales? Thanks in advance.

There's also so clips on you tube of bales been handled with these things. If I had to guesstimate I would say 3 foot 6 or three foot four C to C??
