Back in the workshop today, 6920 in with low transmission pressure. Checked the axles and it's the usual culprit, r/h inner bearing on its way out.

Tip for removing tight bearing cups, quick run of weld round the inside (mig or stick) let it cool for a minute and it shrinks the cup and falls out [emoji106]. Works great as long as you don't want to reuse the bearing [emoji23].

Then cab over for the power quad out.

No shortage of lapwings here :)

Got it chucked around in time to be back for the day (er, morning and night ) job
Then a quick squizz round the heifers to discover yet more dog walkerist's handiwork  If yer dog's too fat to get over the stile, don't bloody bring it :stop::banghead:

Managed a bodge, but luckily my phone died :cautious:

Yes it is early for here, this is a very light field which lies perfectly south facing and will only be around 150 feet above the river Forth.

We have cut around the 20th of July in the past but doesn't happen very often, it has been a hellish catchy spell of weather this past month but with the odd really good day.

Getnthair.
I was being flippant saying "a couple", as the new bridge is not finished yet I don't count it as being a landmark yet!!!

It is certainly a very impressive structure which totally dwarfs the road bridge, I don't know if it is just because it is new but during late evening when the sun catches it, it is incredibly bright.

It is meant to be opened to traffic on the Thursday 31st of August but then closed on the Sunday to allow 50 thousand people to walk over it.

The "lucky" people are to be picked by ballot from over 200 thousand people who applied for the chance to walk the bridge.
