Edge puts this message up quite a lot now for websites such as my webmail which normally work fine.

Why does this suddenly happen? Why can I find the required website when use a different PC down in the village? Is it a slow broadband issue?

Have seen this a few times.
Each time there was a different issue.
One issue was McAfee anti virus. It has a firewall with it that was fighting the built in windows firewall. Disabling the windows firewall sorted it.
Another time it was a DNS issue on the machine running Win10 and Edge. Every other machine/device on the network was fine, bit of a head scratcher that one.
I just changed the DNS settings and it was fine.
If you want to try different DNS settings.........Below is for Windows 10..........
  1. Right-click the Windows start icon on the bottom left and select Network Connections
  2. Right-click the (wireless) adapter icon and select Properties
  3. Scroll down the list and click on Internet Protocol version (TCP/IPv4) and then click on Properties
  4. Change the DNS values from automatic to manual and enter the values Preferred DNS server 8.8.8.8 and Alternate DNS server 8.8.8.4 (Google DNS server address)
  5. Click OK

Just remembered another one, after an update, for some reason, the DNS service had been disabled, setting that to start automatically, as it should be, resolved the issue.

Turns out, this is issue is a known bug, but as it has many causes it is difficult to resolve in a software fix.
