Just considering a new metal nose and wings for my 1958 Dexta...out of the several suppliers in the tractor mags, who supply the best in terms of fitting? Not too worried about cost as its a once in a lifetime thing. Thoughts? Many thanks

If you are not too fussed about originality make enquiries as to whether the Super Dexta front nose cone will fit. Makes the tractor look ten times better and much more purposeful.

The last New Performance Super Dextas made in 1963/4 in blue and pale grey were one of the best looking tractors ever made IMO: although just five years newer they made the original blue and orange round nosed Dexta look positively archaic.

The super dexta bonnet lines are different to the dexta but I think the bonnet will fit, it's a Job to get a super dexta nose cone that fits well, I have tried a few including a fibreglass one and none are a good fit.

Will keep original and yes probably weld the rusty bits at the base of the wings. Nose has been poly filled years ago by dad on each side where they always rust so will possibly do that again too. Thanks for thoughts
