Some negatives to get your head around - you will attract responsible wild campers who do no harm and then you will attract the pain in the arse types leaving mess, dog poo, fornicating, not extinguish camp fires & constructing illegal mountain bike jumps & the legal claims that ensue.....

As said, scouts are best as are usually great to deal with just can be a pain to get them to pay on time but only once hD to chase the money.
Families great usually but expect a bumper crop of shitty nappies and bunged up toilets.
Hippies avoid like the plague, your worst nightmare is a drugged up hippie convention of complete boneheads.
Avoid Weddings full stop.
We do ok, have composting toilets, a couple of taps and bins. Allow camp fires not bonfires and kick anyone off if they bring guns or drugs

@Old Tip. Sounds like a certain amount of policing is needed?

Do you allow bikers? Do you sell firewood to discourage the 'guests' from cutting down trees?

I assume every one has to check in and pay, so what's 'wild' about it? !

Sorry just seen this @Woolly

In answer to your questions, we only take ore booked groups who have to pay in advance, this means we can bet them beforehand and they can’t do a runner.

Firewood is included in the price and if they need more they pay for it, I only take enough at a time for each group and stress they have a campfire not a bonfire.

It’s wild because it’s in a woodland clearing. there’s no aminities except for a tap and composting toilets and they can have a fire. 99% of sites don’t allow fires have shower blocks, shops, wardens etc and your packed together like sardines
