Wood Chip Drying Wanted in Worcester

Good Morning,

Our company is looking for a drying site near Worcester to dry wood chip for us in return for a toll drying fee and an eligible use to claim RHI. We will need a site that has a concrete area for dropping off wet wood chip, a drying floor/ continuous drier capable of processing at least 100 wet tonnes a week, a shed for storing dry wood chip and capability of loading delivery lorries with finished chip. Other facilities such as a weighbridge would be desirable.

If you think this may be of interest or know someone may be interested please PM me.

Thank you.

We typically pay around £5-10 per dry tonne of chip loaded onto our vehicles and then a rent for the barn space for storing dry chip. That's only an indication of how we do it because every site is different and it's whatever works best for both sides. The rate per dry tonne we pay should cover handling and processing costs but the big incentive is the eligible use for claiming RHI that we can provide. We are always interested in hearing about potential sites across the UK, not all will be viable of course but we are still happy to talk to people about the options.

Thanks.

Wales isn't somewhere we are actively looking at the moment but it's useful to know what's about for possible future expansions.

Thanks.
