Living in a hard water area a couple of issues have come to light recently with boilers leaking / failing in under 2 years. As an installer ( pipework) may be worth a mention ??? Also finding some suppliers are getting shy whenit comes to good will . Just saying
Intersted to hear this. Are repairs being carried out under warranty ?

If you want access you have to attend a course as a commissioning engineer.i have all of the access codes for most of the boilers on the market because we have attended the training courses. as for which is the best boiler.all of them have issues. If you have not found any yet just give it a bit longer

Where do you find these courses?

From the main importer or the manufacturer. We have attended courses in various locations around Europe. Mostly in this country if poss by the importer but not always

simple is best fit a dragon boiler for utter simplicity no blockages no augers and decades of life.... a fantastic British product.

which is why we fitted a Glenfarrow.
I got quite frustrated at people (some of whom are members on here and contributing to this thread) who refused to discuss anything unless it was a chip boiler. (they know best etc etc) This then narrowed the choice of boilers/suppliers right down, which was a shame.
We wanted something simple which will burn our own wood. And it does :)

My comment about access codes - i would have thought the OEM needs to take this stance as they got the boiler certified using set parameters, changing these could mean it is no longer compliant with emissions or whatever else it was benchmarked against during its approval - just my take on it, which I accept could easily be wrong.
