This wheeze of forecasting dry weather the following week.......then finding out it's sh!te has been on going for the last 2 years.....:banghead::banghead:

I've reached the conclusion they cannot forecast accurately beyond 7 days.
Yet we've had 7 day forecasts for as long as I can remember, at least back to the 1970's.
I'd have expected more progress in the last 30 years TBH.
So modern computer models, no better than looking at barometers and sniffing seaweed then.

7 days?? they said it was going to be 18 deg today with breeze and very pleasant. By 3pm it was raining again. I think more like 7hrs

I said to someone earlier give me the millions they are spending on the computer that's supposed to give these forecasts, I won't care about the weather as I will be on a beach somewhere warm and sunny. I will then make up some more accurate forecasts than we currently get and everyone wins :)

Nearly dry all day then it rained again this evening. The high pressure that they forecast to be establishing on Thursday yesterday has been put back yet again to maybe appearing next week. Agree the forecast isn't worth looking at. 10% chance of rain can mean a torrential downpour that takes three days to dry up. Pointless.
