its built into the price, 0.8 was the average. summary of the meeting last night... first milk are doing absolutely amazing, all guns blazing. but still 1 pence behind the market. but just have faith, you get told, as first milk are onto a winner. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE BEEN TOLD THIS PISH BEFORE! the good thing about them now is we aren't exposed to the spot market and powder price, so the next dip we in theory shouldn't go as low as before. as for the resignations @westwards keeps banging on about, not a problem. they say 30 million litres might get recruited, and 20 million will leave. and I don't think these people will look into your eyes and downright lie to your face

- 0.2 for 90% forecast
- 0.4 volume band

I had an e mail yesterday from them that forecast penalties would be taken off for overproduction. We fell a bit below due to housing cows at night at start of month and therefore on 2nd cut bales not grass. 4th cut was done on 2nd september so had to wait till last week of september to open clamp. Which has pumped much more milk from the cows.
Getting this forecast correct 3 months in advance is a job.

Email says not going to penalise over production yet they say their not short of milk.
They say they understand people with problems such as TB and forage stocks due to weather but are still penalising under production?????

Yes I thought the same. They make it look like they are helping due to the unforseen problems. However they are not willing to do away with forecast penalties.

Is that AB seasonal or market driven ie it could be less in an autumn with too much milk?

If its the latter thats how AB pricing should work
