Northern Ireland Milk Price Tracker

Back then though you would be spending a fair bit on buying or leasing quota which took afair whack of the milk cheque!
Back then you could also buy good ground for 5000/ac. Nowadays round here it's 15000/ac. In balance though, we didn't get a sfp in those days, which is worth 3.5p/litre to the average dairy farmer. No point living in the past though.
I read in the journal Ian McCluggage reckons another 1000 dairy farmers will quit in NI in the next decade whilst cow numbers will stay the same. On first impressions, I thought it sounded extreme. Then, when I thought about the men I know that have quit in the last year and the other men who are going to quit in the next few years, it didn't sound that far out.

The bad back end followed by a late spring could nudge few more in that direction.

Aurivo 30p 29p plus 1p bonus. Smoke and mirrors on the Base price
I was told that from the start of 18 no more ics in a tb test.either up or down. Get your test done before start of 18

I think there has been changes to neighbouring land as well, now if you're within 2 fields of someone that's down, you have to test apparently.
