I have been avoiding Gatekeeper Precision Farming actual for a few years. I run Trimble, Greenstar and Topcon systems. The plan for ages has been to load all boundaries and guidance lines in to Gatekeeper and then send them out to the Trimble and possibly the Greenstar. I was told of a free app from AGCO that allowed me to do this, unfortunately it couldn't import curved A-B guidance lines of which I have several. With this in mind I reluctantly agreed to purchase the module from Gatekeeper for £450 plus ongoing support of £100/yr. Happy days until it is revealed to me that Top con will not export any field details including boundaries if the field in question has a curved A-B! The Top Con is in the sprayer and is the definitive guidance for all others to follow. Why the hell can this not work. The AGCO man all of sudden claims to not know of this issue despite telling me I needed GK Precision Farming Actual. Bloody fuming.

I’m not sure that’s correct Andrew. You can export boundary files. Yours is Agco c3000. I know it’s annoyingly I point this out but it’s quite important. The operating software is quite different to after market Topcon. I know it’s possible on our systems. Let me do some digging and see what I can find out for you. Your c3000 screen will create boundary files in a .BDY format. The aftermarket Topcon creates them in shape file (.shp) . It’s hasnt always been this way so I’ll find out if there is a way round it. I can’t promise this will be quick so bear with me. I might even bring a screen over to you (aftermarket one) and try to import your data. Then try to export it from our screen rathe than the c3000.
The c3000 was marketed as the same as Topcon, unfortunately is not. However if I can help I will.

Robt seems to talk about boundaries while the issue was about waylines, curved waylines.

I'm afraid exchanging curved waylines between different brands is often impossible. Odd if it stops transfer of other info though, would expect straight AB-lines and boundaries working even if curved waylines were not.

Banana Bar, why are you approaching this AGCO person when it is a Gatekeeper issue as far as I see it?

Sorry but re read the post. It’s about boundary issues affecting curves, all of which I think haven’t been explained correctly . I’ll try my best to help Bananna and report back on this post .

Robt, re-reading makes me even more confused about the original question. If your interpretation serves the needs for the OP, then it is good (I'm sure it does since you have been in contact with him).

I'm still puzzled if the claim is that the C3000 does not export curved waylines along with boundaries and real AB-lines. Our C3000 certainly does. This is why I feel the discussion should be on the application that tries to covert the data for another screen. I know the AGCO converter is not good in this case.
