4G EE contracts

Would that work instead of my Phoenix gadget that holds an ee SIM card, it's supposed to put the Internet to my iPad which doesn't have cellular capability? If it does, I'd like it please

Might be a bit ott as it's a 4g router not just a hotspot but if you want it just PM me your address and it's yours

Just been on to EE retentions
200 gb for £60 a month.
New contract with a new sim with different number
Initially said could only do that if I also u/g my EE phone, then decided didn`t need to do that

Just did an upgrade deal today with EE.as my current contract expired next Saturday.

60gb a month for £23 Inc VAT

She offered me 100gb for £60/month or 50gb for £30/month
I have 2 phones on Vodafone through Onecom but the best they could do was 50gb for £23inc VAT.
Told the nice lady with EE that and she came with the 60gb deal.
Better hope my wife doesn't get addicted to Netflix with the new smart TV!!

Just looking at new deals for 4g and was offered the 200gb for £60 at EE in the shop if existing customer . But also went into Three and they offered their new product Homefi which is a Huawei 4g router 100gb for £30 a month 12 month contract . Anybody got any experience of Three? The Three comes with a "Go Binge" which means Netflix , Deezer etc are not included in the data. They are not on the website yet , just through the shop but she thought it was going out fully later on

At the risk of this becoming the 4G broadband price tracker...no bad thing ;)

These are the deals I just got in the EE shop as an existing customer, but new contract/ new SIM/ new number / (and router should you want one):

18 month deals, with an EE router included:
100GB / £45 inc
200GB / £60 inc

I think that’s pretty much in line with what others have been told / gotten. They seem to vary the length of these contracts like the wind, the last two I did were 24-month deals.

In comparison the best I could get from Vodafone was 50GB for £25 inc. that was 30 days rolling.

The only other appealing option if you’ve got the signal is “3” as above at 100GB for £30 on 12-months deal with router chucked in.

Any other good deals at the moment?

Totally new to this and totally non techy but have been reading this with interest and as I never use my landline, it pees me off having to pay for it! Can you use any 4G Sim card for these routers? If so, and tell me if it won't work, this looks quite good

You need the provider with the best coverage in your area, for instance 3 is hopeless here .
You can have a 4g router unlocked

I’d query the “unlimited” data. Sounds too good to be true if it is.

I just wonder if there isn’t a get out in the fine print somewhere around using the SIM in a non-phone situation eg broadband router. Putting it another way, would they be happy for you to pile on 200GB each and every month. It’s a tad more than your average mobile smartphone user would use.

That's what I thought. Don't want to jump into it and then find it won't work....although presumably there is the usual 14 day get out. Will look further into it

Think this answers it...

i use 3 for my mobile & its unlimited everything BUT like others have said its
capped at 30GB for tethering.
Now in a previous tariff when i had my 1st iphone over 4 years ago it was truly unlimited.
so much so i managed to download or stream or whatever it all comes to over a terabyte
of data in around 2.5years. Yes i used to Tether it to my PC which then had an outlet to other
devices in the house & boy it had some use.
I had my monthly monies worth thats for sure.
I finally have an unlimited FAST Wireless BB setup now thats far far better so the iphone
rarely gets plugged in for this feature anymore.

Plenty using Vodafone round here no problem, which use the same network as O2.
Guess it just depends on coverage and what deal you can get.
I have slightly better Voda/O2 coverage but the EE deal was better.
