Just had a walk around the place after having a sickness bug, well i say walk more plodge. Christ its wet. Im pleased i got a dollop of fert on the osr and barley as it seems to be keeping it going. The first wheats look sad but the second wheats ok (unusually). 30 ac of spring beans to go in (unlikely). Jobs depressing. Now the cental heating boiler is playing up. Urgh!!

Only one small complaint - it doesn't always get updated as regularly as it used to:( but it is quite interesting (or horrifying depending on the figures)(y)

Yesterday i had a fancy all singing all dancing weather station installed on the farm provided by a company i work with (y) looking forward to when i get the results downloaded. Apparently they are hoping to go live with the data (for members) from 1st April.
This station will record leaf wetness and a whole load of extra data. Just a shame its missing the soil temperature option.

Look, I’m getting very pisssd off with people posting my holiday snaps! These are personal and not for public consumption. Mind you it was a fantastic holiday! What I remember the most fondly was the beer , £1 a pint, cigs were £2 a pack and you could have a steak the size of a toilet seat for a fiver, ah what a holiday.
At them prices it"s a feckin long time since you went on holiday!:p:p:hilarious::LOL::LOL:

I think it's wetter here to day than after the Boxing Day floods of 2015, Monday really ferked the job.

5 deg and raining, needs to dry up soon or harvest will be plain
Not that wet this side of the Pennines. 2015 we had the milk cows out, it started raining in the middle of October. We had 3 dry days from the middle of October to start of March. Ground that flooded on boxing day was still full of standing water end of April.

That was one long wet winter , water table stayed high through the summer as well so slightest rain and place went to mush

Highland Perthshire this winter has actually been quite good. Froze hard end of November and stayed for a good few weeks, it's hung around freezing to about 3 degrees most of the winter, not been too wet either, way better than the last winters. Back to snow tomorrow. No grass till mid May here most years, you've got it easy in the south.
