Easy if you have a staple gun
My contractor has bought a new one, its cordless with a gas cartridge and fires them into the posts nicely. Not quite as large gauge staples as the usual farm ones, but perfectly satisfactory. I have a Bostich pneumatic gun that I bought when I started putting in plastic posts, that works fine too, though the staples are a bit thinner again, and is a bit of a pain to have to drag a compressor and generator around.

Well the stockade brigade, don't really count the tjep as a viable option or a serious alternative
( Keep this to yourself I know two folk who own or have used the stockade and the tjep, and both said for the difference in cost of gun, gas and staples they would pick tjep)
But as I said don't tell anyone

Where do you get the plastic posts?

I tried a stockade stapler on plastic posts and they wouldn't go in at all, just screwed up on the surface. Which is why I asked. Hand knocking staples into plastic would drive you to drink.

They came from a factory in Belgium, via a UK rep. He just ordered them on my behalf, the delivery came straight from Belgium. They are 70mm diameter, 1.75m long. They also do 60 and 80mm versions.

Well, without wishing to get involved in what is obviously the fencing equivalent of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, the staple gun I linked to above puts the staples in perfectly for these posts - fires them in well, but not too tight. The staples have a rough surface too, so shouldn't come out in a hurry.
I agree on hand stapling, many years ago I did staple some by hand, I don't think I've ever sworn so much before or since!

What price where they? The posts I tried had a honey comb centre not solid like these.

I think these 70mm ones worked out at just over £6 each, while the 60mm ones would have been under £4 each, thats including delivery to my address. The cost would vary depending on where they had to go to, I think the per pallet charge for me was just over £100/pallet, and you get 250 x 60mm, and 75 x 70mm per pallet.
Generally speaking I think the 60mm ones would be fine if there's a hedge behind the fence as they are a bit more flexible, so need the back support, however I went for the 70mm ones for this job as there's a lot of fencing next to ditches with no hedge behind it.
Edit: they could be slightly cheaper now as the Euro has dropped against the pound a bit since I bought them before Christmas and the exchange rate was part of the pricing.
