Big job on yesterday........digging the tatty patch up to try and dry it out
View attachment 663494

Hmmm
That dirt looks very dry compared to a very wet West Yorkshire right now.

Put cows into a good dry field on Sunday night and it’s rapidly turning into a quagmire and it’s only Tuesday. Hopefully it will recover fairly well but Big changes ahead this year never again shall I run out of fodder and bedding due to a extra month of winter. :banghead:
I’m already panicking about fodder and straw (f!!!ng drax power station aparently buying all they can get hold off already)
for next winter the way things a are working out with reduced planting’s etc.

Went to try and turn our moss (peat) ground over yesterday
for spring barley, it was a bit wet though.

Wasn’t good when the water started coming back up at us:facepalm::banghead:

Bit of a dig and decided to bail out and leave it to our drainage contractor:(

Moved to dryer field and carried on:)

Then went spread some horse muck today while the old man was rolling (till rain stopped him:rolleyes:)

Was doing ok till a pipe on the spreader blew on the very last load :banghead::banghead: oil all over the back of the tractor and stopped for two hours to get it fixed! Was meant to be going to another yard but it was pi*#ing it down so went home early for a change.

Is the low loader trailer hooked on the back of the spreader?

Big boots turned up for the 5000 which look a treat

Bought a new (to us!) cattle crush and handling system. We've been on the look out for awhile. We've managed for years longer than we should of with an old Tubor cattle crush that we must of had 30 years.

How come you’ve put a rail in 5” down from top rail?

I wondered same. Seen it done other way around but never lowloader on spreader
Technically you shouldn’t have your second trailer loaded:oops:, but as I’m sneaking from field to field locally and it saves dropping the spreader I just stick loader on the back:sneaky:.
If we’re taken both spreaders any distant we put the spreaders together an stick the low loader on the other tractor if that makes sense(y)
