Bloke by me has 2 zaxis 70's for sale think they're dash 3s so will be a fair bit more than an ex but will be really good machines. He's just gone away for 3 weeks but if your interested I'll get the details when he gets back. I've actually got one of them coming on hire on Monday so I'll try and get some pics.

What's the difference - age?

Chances are they are both offset boom tho, both the OP’s machines are mono boom !.
Problem is 6-7 ton mono boom machines are getting hard to come by nowadays !.
Virtually all 8 ton and under machines are now kingpin style. The only one I’m aware that is not is the Hitachi 8 ton and in that configuration, they are rare as hens teeth. It’s only stepping up to 13T machines that you move away from the kingpin style now.

13T is much better allrounder imo. Far better reach and lift height, heavy enough for some serious ditching or forestry.

Indeed why fixed boom machines in the 8T and under class have virtually disappeared from the market.

In the mini and midi market it’s all about maximising your reach and manoeuvrability of the boom with respect to turret in tight locations. Granted it’s not quite as stable as fixed boom installations but if you need that then arguably your doing it in a larger machine.
