There was one on a maize clamp down the road last year near the Foxhall roundabout.

As much as I’m a fan of the sheer engineering, grunt and well coolness of the PistenBully, clamping silage is one thing but wonder who’d run one to spread fert? Seems a bit massive OTT.

Cool for the PR machine though I suppose

It’s usual for contractors around here to be spreading fert with them in spring. The soil just won’t hold up wheeled tractors soon enough.

I’ve seen Quadtraks and tracked Fendt 936 tractors with mounted fert spreaders and my friend phoned me a while back to say he was watching a big sp sprayer being towed up and down a field with a Challenger.

If farmers are prepared to do such things then I can’t see why a piste basher couldn’t be useful, especially as our climate seems to get wetter.

I’d love one!!

Quadtracs and 936s with fert pots?

World has gone mad. If I was that desperate Id find something very light and put flotation tyres on it.
