Brexit - It's Being Killed Off

I stand corrected on usa car sales! Germany and uk seem to have a liking for usa cars...numbers increasing year on year.

A usa ford exc said they need 125,000 min units for rh drive f150 and f250...we dying in oz for access to these vehicles...maybe if other markets open up we can make those numbers up.

The ford ranger will be lh drive made in 2019 in usa i expect that might make its way to the eu due to engine options and trans options? Maybe.

Hang in there. Those Yankee built F150 and F250, just need a few more layers of globalisation to make their merry way to Aussieland!! Just gotta keep digging that stuff out of the ground to send back the other way, to keep the balance of payments all nice ‘n balanced.

The US built cars coming to Europe are generally ones like the X series BMW's etc not US domestic market products (A few Jeeps about)

European Ford Rangers generally come from Ford's Silverton plant in South Africa and it's just had a big investment in it for for the production of the new Ranger.

Newer models. They no longer make the one you had nor the Navara that falls in half if you abuse it.

Almost anything new seems to cause grief nowadays, be it with the electronics, DPF's, DMF's, catalysts, sensors, suspect fuel etc. Role on a decent affordable electric vehicle.

I see serial Narcissist Walter wont Venture in to the brexit sector, yet keep's posting in the wrong section about it :ROFLMAO:

Ouch, you tell him.

So back to Brexit. So the Customs union is going to remain (for the time being) for pragmatic reasons like the good of the economy, what is likely to change that things will suddenly look so much rosier outside the customs union? A full blown 3 000 000 unemployed recession?
And if you say it is an ongoing process then surely by the same token the process could reverse and we may rejoin the European Union or strengthen ties with our European neighbours if the folly of it all causes problems....
