Don't dump your junk including bank statements on private land owned by a solicitor.

Caught some fly tippers in the act but after 15 minutes answering questions about my ethnicity, and whether I was really sure they were tipping and not picking it up, (err well it was sliding out the back of a transit tipper) they were miles away.

The thing is as well you have to go to court to testify as a witness and the sort of poeple who do this don't take kindly to that and with zero chance of any meaningful protection I don't think I will be bothering.

Everybody knows who is doing this stuff and they could be closed down or moved on if the authorities had the balls to do it, but damned if I am going to risk violence or endanger myself or my business to do their job for them.

There are also members of the public only too willing to use the services of these people. They should face a custodial sentence as well in my view.

Good thing the local community enforcement officer was out gathering evidence last night as the whole lot has gone up in flames. Funny that. Perhaps somehow they figured it was a massive pile of evidence.......

Seems to be a trend here. Dump it and burn it. Saw smoke and flames in the woods last night. Thought somebody had torched a car but it was a big pile of leylandi branches. If it had been late summer, could have set the woods or crops alight. Somebody else called the fire brigade who put it out before it took hold of surrounding shrubbery. Quite concerning. Needs to be got under control.

In this case, they came back the days after and burnt it. I can only imagine that there was a conversation along the lines of "er, that stuff I gave you to get rid of had all my identifiable paperwork in it" in the pub and some scallies came back and set it on fire to get rid of the evidence. So good thing the local official evidence gatherer had already gathered the evidence, and also hopefully the save van drove past and was caught on the cameras.

Totally 'on the mark'
The thing is, 'these people' are also responsible for much greater crimes, and use their lower level activities, scrap yards, waste disposal, tarmac driveways...etc etc..to provide money laundering for their other more 'lucrative activities'
Yet the police, who know exactly what these people are 'up to' seem powerless to stop them, why?
Now I'm not ower bright when it comes to maths and sums, but surely HMRC, can see a disconnection from someone running a loss making scrapyard, while managing to buy a half million quid house and driving around in a top of the range BMW
