laser wireless printer question

Does it matter anymore how far WalterP is from me?

I need to update my printer so will go laser wireless - assume they're all much of a muchness.

One question if its wireless does that mean if I'm in the field I can get it to print out an invoice from an email I get on the phone or do I have to be on the same network? ie house network

Only reason I mention it is it easier to print out stuff from email for records as soon as I see them rather than later on?

The wireless printer we have here has an email address. We can email a document to the printer from anywhere with an internet connection for it to print it out.

Some printers need you to be on the same network, not all permit print to email.

Give printerland.co.uk a call, they are very good and honest about the printers esp when it comes to the toner cartridges they are delivered with. Some are delivered new with more or less empty carts!

Wireless printers print direct from your wifi network. An email connected printer will print from any device anywhere.

We're on our second HP officejet wireless/email printer. It works well...

...mostly.

Consider creating an "invoice" folder and print when you get back to the office. That way you can add or delete before you make a hard copy and you have the soft copy to E-Mail any awkward customers. Simple templet in Microsoft Excel or the like with your bill head fill them out as you would a paper invoice.

Try a local computer shop.

Or ask someone who works in the printing industry….

A little bit cheaper to run than inkjet, but far faster and better quality imho.

Latest here is a Xerox 6510. Generic toner from Amazon works fine.

Is it agriculturally related? 540 or a 1000 speed perhaps or even eco speed? Could be the hydraulic fitting is incompatible.

I've worked it out now, the adblue wants topping up.
