Unless your brave, best to start jobs now, you may even finish before Dec ! I needed to replace a depth wheel, one of a pair. Couldnt find a match, so replaced both, that needed new axles making, removing the rocking beam to weld them on, I discovered a bent pivot pin, oversize one made and holes drilled out to fit. Hyd rams were leaking slightly, cost effective(cheap) new rams were "nearly" the same, but needed new mountings, indicator scales, and pipework! Now plough needs a repaint as its multi coloured, and in order for the paint to stick it needs steam and blast cleaning!

Yup, will be wheeling one of mine into the shed, hope to get it sorted prior to harvest, not a lot to do to that one but have a tweaks/ideas to try as soon as I get some stubble to play on.

Convalescing well on the way now and the pull of the RSLD No12 steadily becoming stronger than the reluctance to suffer. So much for dropping down to a 4 day week with time for Howardian plough makeovers. Hopefully soon!

I have managed to un sieze all bolts with big hammer, bar and good soaking in oil on my new ( to me) Fergie plough. Just need to give it a good clean up replace hub on a disc counter. Give it an outing on some land after harvest then a bit of paint ready for first match in October
