Weaner cost say £25. Butchery, abattoir etc around £40 onwards depending on what you want to do with it. Things like sausages add extra, fancy cuts, vac pack, labelling onwards. You need refrigeration at home so add on cost of walk in fridge.
We stopped doing direct sell a while ago as costs were too high. Direct sell on works if you have continuous turnover and buyers. For us we only do it for own freezer and odd friend. Best go on The accidential smallholder forum there are some cracking people on there who have done their maths.
