Had my lambs inside a week and have a lamb today hunched with ears down and snot inside nose. Is coughing but sounds choked.

Best penicillin to give it please?

I'd be giving it Tylan and Metacam, rather than Alamycin. Hit it hard and hit it quick.

Also worth bearing in mind that long term damage may have been caused to the lungs, so may not thrive well after or more likely to succumb again in the future. Certainly something to at least consider before you sell as a breeding ram.

Thanks everyone. Lamb was fine last night and only just showing subtle signs of sickness today so I'm hopeful iv caught it early.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever mentioned the words but could it possibly be MV?

Should you be keeping/breeding from this ram again? Sell it cheap (y)
