everything available now is the size of a small phone directory.

There really isn't need for such a big screen for us non-office based people.

I've told them to stick their phones and gone for a sim only contract.

Ordered another Galaxy A3 (6) off t'internet.

I'm becoming such a luddite.

any other recommendations for smartphone with wifi calling and TFF browsing?
Thanks

Phone trader.com (or co.uk, I can't remember which) sometimes have 2nd hand defender tough phone handsets. Decent enough, nothing too fancy and if you don't go over the top on data usage, the battery lasts a few days. Takes 2 sims as well, which is handy as I have work and personal number on same handset. On my 3rd, so whilst they are "tough" they're not completely indestructible.

Got a Moto G4 plus which does a job 2 for £230 when the G5 came out, G6 now out which comes highly recommended around £220. Apparantly the G5 was a bit of dog.
Agree with @J B, and got £6 each a month off the first asking price by threatening to leave.

I have a Moto G6 Play.

Dual SIM, was about £170 delivered SIM free.

Has a massive battery and fast charging, even with heavy use I never have to charge it before bed time 11pm plus, gets taken off charge at 6 30am...

I've noticed the BATA are now selling Blackview "tough" smartphones, seem reasonable money for the spec.

My SE iphone was getting tired so rather than pay the stupid Apple prices I bought a P20 lite.
Two weeks later and I think I am going to give up on it and get my SE fixed or even buy a new one. :(

Phone prices are going crazy, my Mrs works in O2 so I get to hear it all. If you want a new SE get it bought as it's being dropped now.

If you want a good spec small phone the Sony compact series is probably the best you can buy but can be expensive. I had them for 3 years but I've just changed to a OnePlus 6 now.

The OnePlus is a phenomenal spec at less than half the price of a iPhone so it was a no brainer for me.

SIM only deal on 9 phones here - I have a Tuff 400S, transport manager has an iphone5, the rest in the trucks are Nokia 6310i's, 6310's, a 5110, and I think an 8310 - fine for making calls.
