I didn't enjoy this morning's run.
I've spent the last few days in an uncomfortable tractor, including an hour and a half this morning, and my knees just didn't want to join in with the exercise after being folded up like that for so long!
Another couple of weeks, the clocks will have gone back, giving me time to do a bit more exercise in the evenings, and I'll be done with field work, so being a bit more active in the day.
Then I can try and bring my times back down a bit. It wouldn't surprise me if I'm ten minutes over my best time today :(

And the local school did a 'takeover' run, so there were double the number of runners from last week, and a load of mothers watching at the start/finish for me to feel fat, slow and sweaty in front of (n):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We had 372 today..... nearly flattened someone who was faffing around with her watch thing and stopped in front of 13st 12lbs of "focused" runner. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We have 3 "takeovers" in November by local running clubs. Normally boosts numbers and makes them fast...... which for the average fat plodder is not much fun.... but they might drag me along a bit.

That aside.... its Leicester Marathon tomorrow so lots of today`s folk were using it as a "training run"..... o_O

I`m not doing the Marathon.............ever................. :)

He`s only gone and done it............... 29 min 23 secs........ was a perfect day for it. Cool and still ...I don`t like running in the warm!
First run was in Feb 2018 and was 35 min 43 secs............ I don`t train or diddly during the week except walking to work which is 10,000+ steps there and back.

Unfortunately Mrs M (in her wisdom) purchased me 6 personal training sessions for my birthday.......... :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I had a good day too.

Smashed my PB by nearly 3 minutes and 5 people finished behind me.

Missed my target by 40 seconds though:cry:

I see what you mean about the toenails, I now feel like the Gestapo have been at me with a pair of pliers :(

Slow one today. A bad back made me plan to just walk it, but I jogged along most of the way.
I got shin splints for the first time since last Christmas, I reckon from twisting a bit funny with my back.

I enjoyed the park run the distance is good not too short not to long that its boring even so I still find it hard I was around 34 mins. I took my son of 11 at the time who flew it. Im thinking of going back to it as having the times it good and taking the eldest be good for him he's around 26/28 so he can only improve. The one in Newport Tredegar Park is very popular. Some serious competitors amazing times.

Rest, Ice & Voltarol.... should stay off the running really...... go low impact..exercise bike, swimming etc.
Hope they ease off soon, I run about 40% of our course on the grass to miss the WWII concrete bits!

My last few runs have been 5k, and I've registered with ParkRun.

Times are improving as I find out what pace I can maintain, but hoping to organise a babysitter for Saturday mornings so that I can get involved a little more.
