How and where do you sell cull boars and sows? What sort of prices are they making currently?
C and K (also known as Lamberts) at Eye, Suffolk possibly do more cull sows than Cheales, on contract for Dawkins and exported to Germany. Get in quick before the B word happens!
As far as the tariff on sow meat goes, I sold a stock boar in the culls in Market Drayton about a month ago, 365 kgs @ 26p/kg! He wouldn't go for export, but there would potentially be a bill equal to my cheque if he did!
Project fear I reckon again.
Much more pigmeat is imported than exported.
No, happily for him he was bought by someone who has a couple of sows , but doesn't fancy A.I-ing them.Where did he end up? Pet-food?
Good, as the imported was "rumoured" to be going to my direct competitors, despite the fact that they trade as Such and Such Farm, yet use imported meat! The imported stuff will become more expensive in the event of a no deal once tariffs are applied?
Not like. It's both. A premises that is no longer a farm, but has a "farm shop" and also makes meat products on site.
Me neither. Hope they get their just desserts one dayNot like.
