Been trying to get preem on but will make too much of a mess so they will have to wait
Your land must be pretty free draining. Claydoned stubbles travelled well with the quad and slug pelleter on a trailer but anywhere we subsoiled headlands where muck heaps were was like a pudding. I can't think my chalk can be much different from yours since you're not far away.
This takes some pulling when wet;

Do you use ground limestone when you need to alter pH Will or bagged lime?Ph was 6.8 in this field about 1" down. Ive said before i feel there is a very acidic top few mm in no till from rain/ fert etc. And its the plant of undisturbed bare ground isnt it?
Not too worried about it. Tends to peak about november and dissapate away. As growth starts going again moss gets competed out

Mount it on the quad then .
You having a giraffe? The pelleter is over 1m tall and weighs 40kg empty! Honda racks are made of tin which is why I bought a trailer in the first place. With plenty of ballast the quad pulls it up steep hills at 15kph which is fast enough. It can take 100kg of pellets in the hopper which will do 50 acres on 1 fill.
Recon we are on frame number three on our old girl, and we don't grow osr. The last frame we put on is apparently much stronger... We shall see.I got fed up of welding up the frames and the smaller pelleter died. This one has had plenty of work. DD’s “improved soil biology” has mostly been more slugs so far... Osr and wheat after osr gets 2 doses on average.

Make a messI'm getting seriously worried as some been in a week with no pre-em. Rain this am not helpful otherwise might have gone today. Mess tomorrow, or roundup and redrill???

If you can't see it I would do it but get advice from agronomist.I have some that’s been in 8 days,how long before emergance can I safely add roundup to the pre em. I think we are about 3 days before it’s up
Thanks hopefully going todayIf you can't see it I would do it but get advice from agronomist.
I would still add roundup after 8 days. When it gets to around 10 I might be getting a bit scared.I have some that’s been in 8 days,how long before emergance can I safely add roundup to the pre em. I think we are about 3 days before it’s up
surely it all depends on how close the crop is to emerging and the temperatures. I don't think you can put a blanket statement on that as it is very situational.I would still add roundup after 8 days. When it gets to around 10 I might be getting a bit scared.
