I here that the big retailers are stockpiling dairy products over the next few months, just in case there is a hard Brexit. So that they can continue to supply their customers and get out of paying a tariff .

They don't have storage it's all on a just in time system so I don't see that being the case.

Cheese doesn't keep forever. Wouldn't think there's be more than three months date on it.

Maybe some "Rustica", olde worlde shed at the bottom of the garden like the Italians do ???
It would be very easy to have cheese sitting in a cold store in the UK maturing rather than an overseas one.

Mmmm. I wonder is it possible to move a mature recipe cheese half way through maturation to another store, without upsetting the product. I remember visiting some bespoke cheesemakers in France, who matured their cheeses in the most disgusting dumps of cellars, because the mould on the walls influenced the flavour.

Apparently @westwards its pilgrims choice that good old British /Irish cheese, I expect you've heard of that stuff havn't you.?That is the very reason we should buy British.
That's whats being stockpiled incase of a sudden 40% wto tariff being slapped on it after brexit..
Im guessing it ain't the uk stuff being stockpiled either, in whatever cold storage they can find for it over here!!
