new tractor

So it’s a T6070/TSA135 equivalent?
Yes - Near Exact Replacement just the emissions are now on Tier 4B (needs addblue) and their is the option of getting the armrest linkage and gear controller like the larger range command TM and T7 tractors. Otherwise bar the cosmetic differences and LED light options, the mechanicals would be identical. And the final difference is the price, like for like it is the bones of 20k dearer that what you would have bought a new TS135A for!!

They are the replacement but the mechanicals are far from identical. Try swapping a loader or wheels over from a TSA to a T6 and you will find out.

One is built in Austria one at Basildon, sadly I know which one is bolted together best...
I was given a tour of the Basildon factory a fortnight ago. (Thank you very much to Bryson tractors).

The only main difference in build quality between the two colours could only be how the cab trim is screwed on surely?

The CNH gearboxes and engines are made at Antwerp and Milano, then shipped to the factories, then bolted together on site.

Neither factory actually makes anything anymore. It's been 10 years since the engine shop at Basildon fell quiet with the production of the last powerstar 6 cylinder. The cab and all ancillaries are shipped in, the factories are both just assembly lines.

Both factories assemble to the same quality control procedures. How can there be any difference between build quality of the blue and red ones?

There were red ones (maxxum) going down the line at Basildon when we were there.....

The main assembles as you say are identical, any differences in quality can only be down to how those parts are screwed together.
Red ones built at Basildon are apparently for the market outside of Europe. The North American market in particular believes that a British built tractor is superior to an Austrian built one

If your they mixed both batch’s of colour together for the 100 years of FIAT

Its hard to love a Case in the same way as New Holland though isn't it?

I went to a Case open day at a dealer and then a New Holland similar event. I found it the other way around. The creamy colour interior of the Case just seemed a nicer place to be to me than the blue/grey of the New Holland. I think it is more down to personal preference. It just felt more cozy. Both dealers have been excellent to us, so had a new Farmall delivered a few weeks ago. It probably also comes down to whether you've been brought up blue or red too. I suspect it would be a hard sell to get my father into a blue tractor, likewise I have pretty negative pre-conceptions about the green ones.

Weve had both here, and prefer the Case dealer.I know people on here have complained about NH build quality issues from Basildon in the past, silly things mainly that could easily be avoided.Building a tractor is much more than just bolting it together these days, complicated wiring looms with many sensors for example.
