Keep looking on eBay. Ours turned up there and was listed for 2 weeks but disappeared before plod could get off his arse. Wish we had gone to see it ourselves. The police had next to no interest in retrieving it IMO, stalling at every opportunity. Completely and utterly useless.

You should have gone yourself, if the police went they would put it into a lock up yard and charge £150 plus £20 a day to store it.

The cops really don't do themselves any favours, do they? I reported suspicious behaviour to 101 the other day. Of course, I did not even get an acknowledgement, let alone a reply. Now that can be done automtically so not really stretching resources.

It's called 'intelligence' and reports can be cross checked to come up with a result. It is Joe Public who is out there in great numbers, each of us with a pair of eyes. So what do they do? Look down their noses at us and treat us with discourtesy. I wouldn't cross the road to help plod and next time I see something suspicious, I won't bother -- they won't!

I was told not to bother with 101 lm n Yorkshire when reporting dog men or anything suspicious ring 999 !
I said I felt 999 was for emergencies. The reply was that it was a good reason . They said you hear some of the rubbish we have to listen to.

If you think trespassers have a gun phone it in as armed trespass , the armed response team will enjoy an outing with the possibility of bagging a pikey :) ( a mate in the pub told me)

Tried to take ours 5 am Monday morning, they got disturbed and chased.
They new the timings required perfectly. Wagon driver would have been in the yard to start work at 5.45 they knew to be in before he was
