Dragon boiler replacement box section for distributing the air

I’m sick of the 10mm thick 100mm x 100mm box section that sits in bottom of the boiler attached to the fan disintegrating after 12 months because of the heat it has to stand. Is there a metal etc I can use that will last longer? The boiler itself made of boiler plate so can you get box section made from boiler plate?

If taken out then would mean lighting it at the back where the air is blown in whereas the box section allows it to be lit at the front. I don’t have air channels on the door but that was maybe on the old model which had fan mounted on the door

Interesting.

My f200 has a similar spec but the box section lasts a few years, it bows rather than disintegrates.

What moisture is the fuel? Are you keeping tubes clean etc, it might be over heating internally?
