We export 40% of lamb and import 40% ... what's the problem
You make an interesting point, our trade balance in sheepmeat is only about 3000T whilst we produce 300,000T. The problem is not all sheepmeat is equal, we import lots of lamb legs and chops, we export other cuts which have little UK demand... can British consumers be convinced to buy these cuts of meat that we typically export?

They may have no option but to make use of these joints like the case in WW11 when U boats were sinking boats carrying food imports.

‘Possibility’ of cold winters showers/snow from next week, as the prevailing wind shifts to bring weather fronts in from the NW, or that's what I saw.

In other words, normal winter weather, that ‘might’ include snow at times.
Ok, had 15-20 light rain downpours today, got absolutely soaked fencing

Tonight brings us one step closer to ref2. We now have a clear question No deal Brexit or No Deal? This has been the only realistic solution to the parliamentary deadland for months, they have just been wasting time. If ref2 confirmed no deal then business and the gov could have at least spend the last months making preparations instead us driving us blindly towards a cliff. I don't know if the cliff face will be 2 inches or 2 miles but at least with the millennium bug there was time to prepare, clock keeps ticking.

You are 100% right.

But I still think GB customers will buy what they want, not what we would like to sell.

May be China or Middle East perhaps but what price?

Surely whatever happens there will be trade with Europe, they will certainly want to sell us Vegetables, fruit, wine & olive oil. I suppose Goverment & the people will be the problem. No olive oil would cause rioting on the streets, tariffs on lamb a shrug of the shoulder.

But they want ref 2 to be stay in or May's deal, hardly a choice. If they couldn't honour ref 1, ref 2 is a joke. WTO is the answer, it would soon settle down, and we won't have to prop up the EU when it collapses.

Frankly any deal other than a no deal fails to meet the referendum result yet no one campaigned on a no deal Brexit during the referendum, Brexit was sold on the fantasy basis of negotiating the easiest deal in history. Today's vote shows that a Mays deal or No Deal option would not get thought to a ref, only a No deal or No Brexit question could possibly get though parliament to be put to the people. No deal Brexit happens on March 29th if no vote passes, knowing this remainers and less hardline leavers would get behind a vote for ref 2 with just enough numbers to make it pass and the EU would allow an extension of article 50 to allow this. It is the only possible way forward. The youth vote will never forgive the Conservatives if they allow us to run out of time and we fall into a no deal Brexit rather, it will be slightly more forgivable if that outcome is off the back of a second ref.

Another vote is a waste of time because if its another vote to leave parliament still wont accept it and carry out the wishes of the majority.

And tonight Tusk has stated that the UK should just revoke article 50 and ignore the 2016 Ref result, tells you all you need to know about the EU.

People on both sides are totally fed up with parliament/ MP's and if there is another vote then regardless of the result of that you will see a hellish backlash by people and it will divide the UK for generations and another vote will certainly not sort out the EU issue regardless of which side wins.

Pathetic what MPs are doing on the brexit issue.
