Question for Minette

I beginning to think I might just print this thread out and pass it to her and see what reaction and feedback I get, whether that be on the day or a follow up response.

Our regional NFU communictions adviser is a keen follower of TFF, I would imagine it's the same for all regions.
You don't need to print this out; answers will have been prepared well in advance.
If only as much effort could go into communicating with the wider world as goes into keeping an eye on the farming community.

Could you ask what she thinks about legalising Hare coursing, so I can decide who carries out this sport on my land and allow me to rent it out to a coursing syndicate . It would be no different to letting land to a shoot or metal detectorists as they don’t like to tread on each other’s toes . This would also save the local police a fortune as they could stop chasing them with multiple car/ officers and helicopters for really no return and also the causers wouldn’t need to drive on my fields every other day .

Ask her ... due to the fact the the NFU does not represent the grass roots farmers does she feel guilty that the organisation is still taking membership fees off farmers and what is she going to do to stop the stem of members leaving.
I’m sure Guy has been asked that on here in the past and put up figures to show membership is fairly static allthough that’s probably a year or few ago.

Why is the ag further education system failing so dismally, Labour is becoming a huge problem and will only get worse and FE colleges offering ag courses are failing their students, Holme Lacy, Hartpury and Walford being 3 examples.

@Jerry would be interesting to hear how the meeting goes, although I would understand if you didn't think it right to post that on a forum.

I will certainly feedback, and I think its important she realises the strength of feeling on some subjects out there with the grass root farmers. Im sure she does know but a few direct face to face questions might illicit some interesting responses.

I think they might be short of people willing to meet her, today I have had 3 invites at different venues to meet her, all question must be submitted before the event and was told they will be asked on our behalf to weed out any surprise's.

Sounds like the sort of stage managed Q&A liked by politicians, a rehearsed answer to select questions to put over an agenda
