Dyson, traitor or shrewd businessman?

Brenda from Bristol, burned her Dyson on her front lawn today. Reflection of the mood of the country, in the face of Brexiteer treachoury and duplicity.
Lots more bonfires in the making. Probably be a new annual “Brexit” bonfire night to equal Guy Falks Night.
The DUP / UVF / Orange Order, will no doubt lend their considerable expertise at building great big pires from EU approved pallets.

With is no just Dyson the wears the Eau du Toilette called "hypocrisy"
There is JRM moving funds to Ireland.
Nigel Lawson looking to get residency in France.
The fragrant Nigel Garage, getting the German passports for the kids,( To be fair they are entitled to them), whilst looking to get his European pension.
Sir Jonny Redwood in his 2nd job Chief Global Strategist with Charles Stanley saying get the funds out of the UK.
Least the Tim Martin does not seem to be leaving, something we can all celebrate when we are on our last happenies down at weatherspoons. (Or even your remaining euros. https://www.morningadvertiser.co.uk/Article/2001/11/28/Wetherspoon-boss-will-accept-euro-in-his-pubs)

It would be good for a laugh watching him try and relocate his empire of botulism palaces to a new country.:D

I think the question is why didn't he remain in the UK, when he is busy extolling the virtues and opportunity of the country post Brexit? It's more the hypocrisy of the man, rather than the decision he has made, a bit like Rees-Mogg.

We've had a vote to Leave but after 2.5 years we've got nothing.

The "Best Deal" ties the UK to the EU indefinately .. ties the UK to the EU rule book .. all new EU rules apply .. the ECJ remains the head of UK law until we leave (please see the first statement) .. UK taxes cannot be reduced for 8 years until AFTER we leave (Please see the first statement) .. no dates on a trade agreement .. no dates on new trade agreements .. EU exempt from UK law.

A businessman works on the known .. looks to me as though with May's deal we'll be in the EU for 10+ Years.

During that time EU grants, policies and business opportunities .. such as new agencies, research, development, infrastructure, science .. will all be moved into the EU .. whilst the UK continues paying.

It's interesting to see what you've posted but the UK will be a hell hole because Remainers are giving the EU all the power and opportunity to do so.

This thread is just a perfect example of how entrenched we have all become in our own view points.
An evil brexiteer who hypocritically takes business out of the UK.
A clever businessman who is outward looking and embracing global trade.

It's got bugger all to do with brexit. 90% of current sales are in Asia and it was a logical place to do business.

Hard brexit-we have competitive tax rates to attract business.
Soft brexit- nothing much changes.

No wonder there is global warming when everyone's puffing out so much hot air.

Wetherspoons DimSum next then?

There's plenty of antipathy towards the English in Singapore.

All that shines isn't necessarily gold

I lived in Singapore for about 4 months .. I can't find the correct spelling but Europeans are known as "White Devil".

Expensive part of the world to live .. a flat costs the same as a 3 bedroom house.

Nice people .. a bit weird, never seen so many people in shopping centres before. Open air meat market .. hot humid smelly.

Nice food though .. very nice food.

Only place I've been for work in the World where I felt disliked merely because of my Nationality

Anodyne sort of place too (Holland's clean and tidy but has character)

I didn't find hostility in Singapore.

NZ was the worst for me .. random drunk Maori's were violent blaming me for our ancestors 100s of years ago.

At least my Dyson pays his taxes in this country ,unlike many others
I understand that only 4% of his sales are in the UK and the Asian markets are overwhelmingly larger than European. I understand that his move will lead to very if any few job losses in the Uk, moreover his fear of no Brexit may be driving his departure. The thoughts of remainers are steeped in negativity, a trait which has blighted this country for years.
