Looks like you are a bit of a keyboard muck stirrer, you sent me an email that is threatening in itself, and because it is secure mail server it gave me a lot of info on you mr moloney.
I take threats like that very seriously, so you can wait for the outcome of that. To all metal detectors wanting permissions, go locally to yourself, don't cross any borders because there has been a remark made to me that a certain person from anglesey does not like entering a foreign country to go to a show ie ( England ) .
Your really not doing yourself many favours on here atm. That email was auto generated by the forum not sent from JC himself. What I cant work out is why the alert came in the first place as there hasnt been any posts on this thread for almost a year.

I don't know, but it arrived in my mail box?.
Have tried doing one favor in a post, and got slagged off by one and all.
Also I am surprised that some of the answers to people wanting permission to detect and just making a query on here , have been subject to some silly actions by those who have replied to them.
I already have permissions from my farming relatives, and other farmers who are more in touch with people who live in the urban areas.
I just fail to understand why your members can comment and post on any issue, but when someone who is relatively new to the forum does not have that facility without being subject to a mass attack by the club members .
Maybe it is just that you do not want anyone joining and making comments when they are not actually farmers.
Forums are supposed to be for discussion and available to all who subscribe to them, maybe the moderators need to tell someone when they post an article that it is not relevant.
I seem to be a target no matter what I say, even when I receive an email that is a bit worrying.

That was a "threat" sent to me by someone (TheMetalDetectorist) who also thought I was a "keyboard warrior". I`m not.
I objected to his method of operation with his now defunct "business" where he was "less than honest".
I say what I see, some folk don`t like that. I also try and help folk where I can.
That chap hasn`t surfaced on here for a long time and I`m waiting for his "resourceful" stuff to happen.
So, unless you & he are the same person, I have no issue with you and await my apology.

It is not me as I have only been a member for a short time, and I understand it was an old post, and I am not the type to threaten anyone like that.
He must be still around, he or whoever it is sent the message to me and made it look as if it was from you. Just landed in my mailbox like that.
Best to just forget it.

The first email you recieved was an automated message from the forum system, no single user sent it to you. What you have copied and pasted above is just JCs profile page with a message on from 'TheMetalDetectorist' so you can only see that if you specifically go and look at JCs profile page. 'TheMetalDetectorist' hasnt been online for 15 months so he hasnt sent anything to anyone since then.
I think you might have accidentally 'watched' this thread somehow so the system has alerted you to the fact that there are replies to the OP they just happen to be a few yrs ago.

You need to get a grip on your reply system, strange it is sending old replies out from years ago to me, when I have only been a member for a relatively short time.
Don't get the "accidentally watched a thread?".

At the top of the thread on the right hand side is an option to 'watch thread', if you had clicked this, even by accident, it would then start sending you alerts even if you haven't replied to the thread.

Why do you keep sending me these emails?, Your replies are getting a bit annoying, stop making excuses for your pals on the forum. And stop sending me emails that are just pointless.

I'm trying to help but that seems to have passed you by! How exactly am I making excuses for 'my pals', you sound a bit deluded to be honest, nobody else on this forum of nearly 36,000 members seems to be having the problems you are. If your getting emails every time you get an alert you need to go into your profile settings and turn off email alerts.
