Snowing

8.5 hours to get from Bodmin to Bideford last night wouldn’t have been half as bad if there wasn’t so many brain dead selfish people about the amount of times asked why oh why would the car in front stop mid way on an icy hill only to get helplesly stuck? My favourite memory has to be a police officer stood in front of a sliding lorry on a steep hill demanding he stop only in Devon :facepalm:seen some amazing community spirit on the way especially all the farmers on the Atlantic highway helping out as much as possible when they could have been sat nice and warm at home. Also seen so much ridiculous behaviour I almost lost faith in humanity!

Quite an adventure, then, and would imagine so very tiring. Ties in with what I was told about the A39 yesterday.
Abandoned vehicles, not enough (or no) gritting, and very much under reported by the Exeter-centric media.

Yes to be honest the gritters were hopelessly unprepared so many crashes and people stranded I gave a postie a lift a fair few miles who had spent hours getting people up the hill but nobody would help him so he had to walk I was glad to be in the Land Rover and have my shovel in the boot

Been snow on the ground for nearly a week here, but only a dusting. our track is bad as usual.

Been some very localised snow tonight, between Northallerton and Thornton le Moor was bad.
Then Sutton bank area was bad, nowt at Helmsley, then our road had a good inch on it,
of course I had my big trailer on, which took great delight in shoving me down the the hills on our road.
Sixpence half crown.
