Could a ewe that lost her lambs last Saturday night or sun morning be alright to foster on to now. 2 sets of trips in a row and no singles in sight. Cheers
Imagine how overalls would look. Easiest way but messiest is a hatchet/axe and taken the legs off halfway and the neck/head off. Pull the skin off the meat and voila, fit over the next lamb. There is a bit of milk on her, worth a go I suppose. Never skinned a lamb or know how to either.
One of my ewes had a single born dead.Ileft the dead lamb in her pen waiting for a triplet birth. 6days later skinned dead lamb, put skin on biggest triplet, ewe thought a miracle had happened, only problem was the ewe would not let the lamb out of her sight, had to tie her up for a couple of hours for the lamb to suckle.
Not if they are like my ewes.... some of them won't accept a foster even when they haven't seen their own lamb and are fostered on straight away... meanwhile the ones that rush round the shed wanting to mother everything are the ones that drop 3'sCould a ewe that lost her lambs last Saturday night or sun morning be alright to foster on to now. 2 sets of trips in a row and no singles in sight. It did not smell much,I used the workshop airline to blow the skin up so it was easy to skin

Where do you apply the airline for best effect?
